Lady Justice

Stands blindfolded,

bright and shiny, proudly

holding her scale of justice,

level and true. She sits as the

ruler of justice across the land.

Millions have come into her presence

to hear her judgment. She’s blinded that

her judgment may be fair and true, regardless of race, creed, color and religious beliefs.

Men and women right hands raised high, vow their allegiance to uphold her sacred

truth as a Judge, Defender or Prosecutor.

many others are bound to her purity by

swearing the oath to tell the truth

and nothing but the truth, so help me God.

yet, in Her presence a cart sits full of evidence, a portrait of overwhelming truth

against the defendant who sits before her and her twelve jurors. In the blink of an eye

Deceit, Guilty and Death team up to overtake Lady Justice.

 

The car is rolled out and dumped like the trash it was.

two young men journey into the night, with one plan in

mind. Unknowing the night would turn tragic. One shot a

man lay dead. Two coats, one stained with the victim's blood the other is not. Who is guilty of pulling the trigger?

One is dead the other lives. Who pulled Lady Justices blindfold to reveal their color?

One foot print on a bar, evidence of the identity as to who was the shooter. A defendant sits

hoping Lady Justice will hold true to Her purpose.

But, again Deceit, Guilty and Death blind sides the Lady but before the Lady can recover to reveal truth, Death has dealt His sting. Did the true killer live or die?

Heartbroken and torn in unbelief, a man sits before a jury of his peers praying that the Lady will not fold.

His crime, setting a fire which killed his family. He hopes the Lady will see his heart of love for the family he lost.

But, TRUTH can’t stand as Deceit, Lies and Guilty deliver their blows and kidnaps the Lady to hold her hostage until Death

has claimed his life. The man was found
